What comes to mind when you hear the word “time?” It may sound like “it’s not enough” or “it’s too much” or “I just can’t get things done,” “I feel more time should be added to the 24hours already” or “Wow, I’ve got a whole lot of time to get these things done.” All this implies that time can work in our favour or disfavour – depending on how we use or spend it.

But in real essence, what is time? In simple terms, it implies to the duration in which all things happen, or a precise instant that something happens. How we get things done and on time is by time management. Effective use of time on an item or two, setting a priority list or a checklist can keep us on track.

When we effectively manage our time, we get to know who and what is important, we alleviate stress and we get to focus on the agenda for that day.

Time management may also entail exercising conscious control of the time spent on specific activities to work smarter than harder.

Observing time management at the workplace or where-ever we find ourselves is beneficial and makes us perform better and we get better results. Why? We are focused and we get to attend to things at a time under a given time frame. Our works speak better for us when we work with time, hence, causes fewer mistakes and limited distractions. 1. Sharing Of Responsibilities
The word NO comes into play here. You shouldn’t do everything on your own – be it at the workplace or school or home. You shouldn’t accept things that are difficult for you or that may be a burden. The sharing and delegation of responsibility has a great effect here, it can be shared according to interest and ability. Not only do you get to do things done on time, but also get to be more focused.

2. Prioritizing Tasks
Prioritize the items in terms of importance and urgency. Similarly, you should also know the difference between important and urgent works.

Set deadlines for yourself and strive to complete them ahead of the deadlines.

Try as much as possible to develop habits of doing the right thing at the right time. Work done at the wrong time is of no use and of no value.
