Vitra Presents New Chair Collection At Paris Design Week
Vitra, a Swiss family-owned furniture company with headquarters situated in Birsfelden, Switzerland has launched a new collection — Eames Special Collection.
The furniture company is known for using their thoughts and emotions to shape their surroundings. Vitra was in close collaboration with the Eames office when producing new versions of selected iconic pieces by Charles and Ray Eames.
Plywood Mobiles, Eames House Bird, La Chaise, Eames Wool Blanket, and Organic Conference Chair — which was developed by Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen) are launched in a carefully chosen assortment of novel finishes, fabrics and colours.
The Eames Special Collection is available worldwide at select brick-and-mortar dealers from September 2023 until the end of January 2024. Eames Special Collection will also be online from November 2023.
In addition to the Eames Special Collection, Vitra collaborated with Italian designer, Antonio Cittertio to develop the ACX collection. This particular collection happens to be the 10th swivel chair that Vitra has developed with Antonio.
The ACX collection has an automatic synchronised mechanism that allows and offers maximum comfort for every user without the need for adjustment other than seat height. The collection has 3 ACX models (alongside their differences); their construction, logistics, materials, production and maintenance are designed to achieve a long cycle with the smallest possible carbon footprint.
